I feel bad for this un-Christian-like thought I am about to share, but I've been DYING to get here to type it and get it off my chest:
I heard on the television gossip-type show that BARRY MANILOW refused to appear on (the show that gets me out of bed on my non-appointment days) "THE VIEW" today, because "(Elisabeth Hasselbeck) is angry and offensive". They stated that he is a good friend of ROSIE O'DONNELL and that because of the crap that went on to cause ROSIE'S departure, he may have possibly formed this opinion.
I feel that Elisabeth Hasselbeck is a self-righteous twit, that thinks she knows everything, but is so immature and so boxed-in that she can't see (not does she attempt to see) past the nose on her face! There are actually days that I just can't watch THE VIEW, because she annoys me so much. 'Just the look on her face when she speaks sometimes: she reminds me of the miss perfects from school that the guys all liked, but ended up being sluts in private. (DO not take that as a jealous comment - I honestly never was. I always wanted to walk up and slap those types of girls in the face)...
ANYWAY. I am so very happy that SOMEONE publicly took a stand and said something derogatory against Elisabeth in public.

AND BY THE BY; A BIG OL' WELCOME FROM ME - TTOWNROBIN TO WOOPI GOLDBERG AND SHERRI SHEPHERD TO THE VIEW!! WHAT AN AWESOME ADDITION. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE SHERRI, BUT I MUST SAY the more I listen to her, the more I think she and Elisabeth will be good friends because they are both so NIEVE!! Sherri has said she would tell her (new baby) son about sex around the time he turns 14..DUH!!
Get with the program girlfriend! And that she thinks its ok to walk around nekkid in front of your son till he's 8 yrs. old. (They were talking about the new crap that came up in the Britney Spears custody case regarding what a former bodyguard said about Britney walking around naked in front of her two sons - NOW THAT"S STUPID!! THEY ARE LIKE 8 MONTHS AND 2 YEARS OLD!! TALK ABOUT TAKING SEX STUFF WITH PARENTS AND CHILDREN TOO FAR! OMG!! THAT BURNS MY ASS. WHAT'S NEXT...THAT WE CAN'T DICIPLINE OUR CHILDREN?? THAT WE HAVE TO LET THEM ALLOW THEIR OWN INTELLIGENCE RAISE THEMSELVES!!..GYOD!!)
This poor woman needs to get out more..Sherri, that is. DEFINITELY NOT BRITNEY. She gets out way too much. I really enjoy everyone's her funny comments and her attitudes that's on THE VIEW: Barbara,(well she kind of attacked Sherri about her not believing in Evolution today which I thought was TOTALLY UNNECESSARY, and uncharacteristic of Barbara as well...), Joy, Whoopi, all EXCEPT Elisabeth's.
And I DO STILL miss Rosie, even if she was LOUD and overbearing. I just like the woman. I wish she still had her afternoon talk show.
And while I'm mentioning it: I miss Tony Danza's talk show too. I don't care for all the fluff that has become Ellen's (I used to LOVE the Ellen show! Now I watch OPRAH if I am indoors at 4 pm)

SPEAKING OF BARRY MANILOW: I just caught on CBS news a story about people, mostly teens, that are ticketed for a noise ordinance in Fort Lupton, Colorado being punished by having to sit through an hour or so of loud music that might be offensive them THEM! Such as, Manilow, the Barney Theme song, Dolly Parton among many others. I LOVE IT!! TOLEDO POLICE TAKE NOTE!! Do you have ANY IDEA how many times I have had to attempt to close my windows to be able to hear on the telephone, due to the LOUD RAP MUSIC (WITH VERY OFFENSIVE WORDS I MIGHT ADD) because of lingering cars at the 4-way stop outside my front door!! AWESOME PUNISHMENT! RIGHT ON!
NOW ABOUT THE TOPIC IN MY HEADING>>>>
It wasn't bad enough that I had to try to overcome the disappointment that I couldn't go see JOHN MELLENCAMP here in Toledo at the Seagate Centre on November 2nd...I get the Sunday paper from my neighbor (who is so kind to bring it over to me, but I'm afraid to take it in the house because he mentioned one day that he had cockroaches so bad that they woke him up every couple hours (ICK!) so I have to either read it outdoors or throw it away)...(all it takes is ONE!) that STYX is also appearing here in Toledo at the Stranahan Theater!! The tickets start 20.00 less than Mellencamp's do but are also for that price, up in a balcony. I'll bet it's going to be a theatrical extravaganza, being held st the Stranahan! If I ABSOLUTELY HAD to pick between the two, I might pick STYX, merely for the fact that when I saw JOHN MELLENCAMP front row center, it cannot be topped. And seeing him again COULD tarnish that memory. HOWEVER, STYX - now that was my FIRST concert back in 1977.
They appeared at the Sports Arena as a back-up band to URIAH HEEP. Then I saw them again when I lived in Pensacola. We saw them at a small auditorium in Mobile, Alabama, and I was too drunk to remember most of the show but I do remember that I had a good time...THIS TIME, I would LOVE to take my daughter. She know some of the songs from being raised with them since her father and I both enjoy the band's music...oh sure, she'd rather see DEATH CAB FOR CUTIE, but if I had the money to take her, she would be going for my benefit and the fact that I would like for her to have the STYX life-altering experience.
