While I'm complaining - how about those GAS PRICES? I WANT TO GO TO CEDAR POINT!

UPDATE ON CEDAR POINT!
Accident at Cedar Point's Magnum hurts three
2007-05-26
By Robert Niles: The big news at Cedar Point today was supposed to be the long-awaited opening of the new Intamin coaster Maverick. Instead, attention turned to an older coaster, Magnum, after a load station collision that left three people needing medical attention.

The incident happened around noon, according to multiple reports. An incoming train failed to stop in its block zone, bumping into a train waiting to leave the station. Two people were treated by medical staff and the park and released. A third was taken to a local hospital.

THIS IS VERY RARE. I STILL WANT TO RIDE IT. ONE OF THESE DAYS...

I am dying to go to CEDAR POINT and ride the new MAVERICK ride.(left)

Not sure if the link will work for you, but here is the VIDEO of our Channel 24 weatherman, riding the MAVERICK:
VIDEO: Norm's Maverick Adventure

I have still not ever ridden the Top Thrill Dragster (left) I'm terrified that it will break my neck, with my Klippel-Feil Syndrome..but I want to ride it, BAD!

My VERY FAVORITE RIDE IS THE MILLENNIUM FORCE - really smooth, and doesn't bother my neck at all. (left)

Actually the hardest part about a day at Cedar point is that I'm limping by dinner time, and my neck is so stiff that it takes me 3 days to recuperate. But - if I have enough medication - it's well worth that one week of excruciating pain.

With gas at my corner station, Gas-n-Go, one of the cheapest places on the east Side being $3.51 per gallon, there is no way we are going this summer.

FROM THE FOX NEWS WEBSITE:

Despite Gas Prices, Cedar Point Expecting Good Holiday Crowd - GOODY GOODY FOR THEM
Dated: 05/24/2007 12:36:09 PM

A Cedar Point spokesman says the amusement park in Sandusky expects big Memorial Day weekend crowds, despite high gasoline prices. AAA says attractions throughout the state have reason to be optimistic. A spokeswoman for the auto club in Ohio says people still intend to travel over the holiday weekend but will try to hold down other costs, besides gas. That might mean staying at less expensive hotels or avoiding pricey restaurants. The auto club reports the cost of filling up keeps going up in Ohio. Gas has reached another record high Thursday, averaging $3.36 per gallon for regular.

Hope YOU get to go!
